Objectives
Upon completion of this program the participant should be able to:
1. Identify the role of family physician in sports medicine.
2. Perform pre-participation physical examination and manage common
injuries.
3. Have an enhanced knowledge base for managing female athletes
4. Advise athletes regarding appropriate nutrition and advantages and
disadvantages
of performance enhancing pharmacological agents.

9A\Westchester Ave. Make right at first light, Bryant Ave. Proceed four lights

Heatherbloom Rd. and an immediate left into Burke.
From New Jersey: Garden State Parkway to New York State Thruway
to Tappan Zee Bridge. Follow directions above from Tappan Zee Bridge.
From New York City: Hutchinson River Parkway North: Exit 23N at
Mamaroneck Ave. Turn right at light onto
Mamaroneck Ave. and proceed to Heatherbloom Rd. Burke on right corner. Or New
England Thruway (Rt. 95) to Exit 18B (Mamaroneck Ave.) Turn right onto
Heatherbloom Rd. and enter Burke on left.
From Long Island: Take the Whitestone Bridge to the Hutchinson
River Pkwy North. Use Exit 23 North. Proceed on Mamaroneck Ave for five
traffic lights. Make a right, entrance to Burke is immediate left.
