The summer Board meeting of the Bronx-Westchester Chapter of the New York State Academy of Family Physician was held on May 10, 1999, at 6:00 PM.

The following officers were elected for the July 1st, 1999 to June 31st, 2000 year:

Planning for the Installation Ceremony and Delegate report 6/29/99
Possible sites: Le Refuge, La Panetiere
Search for speakers: There was a debate on whether we should use a speaker provided by a drug company or find a speaker on our own, preferably the speaker should be a Family Physician. Several names were raised as a possible speakers for the 20 minutes lecture.
Planning for the Family Picnic after Labor Day was initiated. The consensus was that the scheduling should accommodate the medical students. Possible conflicts included the AAFP meeting in Orlando and the Jewish holidays. The Family Picnic was finally scheduled for Sunday August 29, 1999 after unanimous approval.
Discussion on CME meeting in January at Einstein, New York Medical meeting in March.
Next year Election Day set for May 8, 2000
Planning for ALSO course.
Discuss location for next year; Dr. Hamaoui and Halbach will finalize decision to give course at St. Joseph's Medical Center or at New York Medical College.
The meeting ended with an animated discussion on the budget/expenses of the ALSO course.
